    2000 90hp Johnson Hard to start.

    Primer clicks when key is pushed in but won't start until red primer indicator is turned up . What should I do to fix this??

    Reel oil (recommendations)

    Baitcasting Reels . I use Remington gun oil but does anyone know of a good reel oil ? I ordered some on line for about $10.00 a ounce did'nt work very good and cost too much .Years ago used 3 in 1 oil but they changed it and it's too heavy now .

    To decarbon or not to decarbon ?

    Got a 1957 35hp Johnson and a 2000 90hp Johnson ,mostly use the older motor , but should I decarbon these motors ? I put Seafoam in the gas tank on the 2000 . What do I use and how if I should ? Thanks for any replies .

    Fuel pump conversion

    2000 90hp Johnson(J90VLSSS). At present am using fuel pump on vro unit ,oil side has been disconnected and am pre mixing . Is there a pulse pump that I could order to replace this one? If so what pump and how to install it . Or should I stay with the vro unit ?

    Wiring(spark plug) Question

    2000 90hp Johnson J90VLSSE Have I installed wiring spark plug wires that might give me trouble . I bought United Marine mega mag 250 ssc silicone sae J2031 , these wires are blue . Should I replace or not ? I know now that 931-4922 gray wires is what is called out for . Thanks

    Gears Grinding when going into reverse

    2001 70 HP MERCURY FOUR STROKE . Grinds a little when going into forward but grinds a lot when going into reverse . This is a replacement motor bought from a outboard mechanic he says you have to slam it hard when changing gears . Don't sound right to me . Comments ?
