    MFS 9.8 rusty

boats.net has parts, but I don't know what it costs to ship to Italy. Tohatsu sells around the world, there must be a dealer in Italy somewhere. If you use the motor in salt, spray everything under the hood with silicone spray when you're done for the day. The silicone won't hurt the rubber...

    MFS 9.8 rusty

I'm going to attempt to translate. The bottom bolt is rusty and he would like to replace it. Why are there numbers on the bolts and what do they mean? Answer: I believe the number "7" on the bolt refers to the grade, or strength of the bolt. Find another bolt with the same marking. Or you...

    2002 25 hp rebuild

Great, hopefully it will work. Not knowing which sealant you used, I'm hopeful you chose one for engines that will be tolerant of gas and oil.

You're going to need to disassemble to seal it correctly.

Honda BF200 temperature alarm during flush with mufs

I would think water should be coming out somewhere if you're connected to the flush connector. Maybe something is clogged. Get a piece of thick weed whacker line and run it up inside the flush connector, see if you can break anything loose or determine if there's gunk blocking it up somewhere.

Honda BF200 temperature alarm during flush with mufs

Does it overheat when in the water? How about if you put it in a bucket/barrel instead of using the muffs? It's definitely not cooling for some reason. Now would also be a great time to replace the impeller.

    Hard Starting Tohatsu M115A

First try to figure out why it's not starting. When it won't start, first check for spark. If it has spark, next shoot a little fuel or starting fluid into the intake and see if it then starts right way. If yes then you likely have a fuel issue. Also check the compression.

How do you prep Honda B100 9.9 hp water pump oil seal and mating surface before installing?

Be careful with washing the bearing in-place, I believe it's open down into the gear case so whatever washes out of the bearing will go right into the gearcase. What you might try is mounting the lower unit upside-down, then pumping some gear oil into the regular fill hole, expecting it to...

How do you prep Honda B100 9.9 hp water pump oil seal and mating surface before installing?

Not knowing exactly what's stuck on there, you can try some chemicals such as brake cleaner, carb cleaner or Goof Off/Goo Gone type of thing, but don't let it drip into the bearing. Try a cloth or a stainless steel brush by hand, do not use a spinning tool. If that doesn't work, some very fine...

    Honda 130 stern tube lube

Can you post a picture? All motors are different, but my Honda only has one zerk on the steering shaft too, but if you pump enough in it comes out both the top and the bottom. Have you tried pumping grease in until it comes out somewhere?

Honda BF60A stumbles at high speed

Thanks for the follow up! I'm surprised there's not a filter between the two pumps, maybe a chance for some home improvement once it's out of warranty. ;)

Are you sure yours looks like the picture I posted above? Can you post pictures of your engine and lower unit?

Watch this, you'll see how it works:

    Honda 9.9 exhaust diverter?

Yes some will come out there, but when you give it enough throttle it will come out the center of the prop too.

Is this what your Honda 9.9 looks like?

    Honda 9.9 exhaust diverter?

It still goes through the hub. At close to idle speed it's going to come out the above water exhaust, but give it enough throttle and it goes right out the middle of the prop like it does in forward, and gets sucked through the prop and blown under the boat with the water.

1996 BF50 Honda Bogging out when trying to plane

It's difficult to say why from here, but clearly your middle cylinder isn't contributing as much as the other two at idle. Have you synchronized the carburetors since it has been apart?
