    Honda BF75L cooling water issues

That metal bearing looking thing is a plug. When they manufacture parts, sometimes they need need a hole such as a passage, in a place where they can't fit a drill bit because of a tight corner or other metal in the way. So they'll just drill through everything, then plug the extra hole.

    Honda BF75L cooling water issues

Great job finding the problem! When you get it back together, run some descaler through it to clean out the spaces you couldn't physically reach. Rydlyme works very good, Barnacle Buster seems similar. Just flush it really really good with fresh water after.

1996 BF50 Honda Bogging out when trying to plane

See if you can get a tester on the coil input for one of the cylinders that is working, and check what that looks like. Then repeat on the cylinder that isn't firing, see if it looks the same. If you have an oscilloscope, maybe you can wrap some wire around one of the spark plug leads a few...

1996 BF50 Honda Bogging out when trying to plane

Those don't look terrible, and they're not wet. Looks like lots of idle or slow speed time. I doubt it's the plugs, I guess you'll find out tomorrow. Did you check for fuel in all of the carburetors, and try squeezing the ball to see if that helps? Also are you sure the choke plates are...

    No spark

Sometimes when electronic parts start to fail, they'll work when they're cold but fail when they get hot. Especially coils. Next time it quits, use freezy spray or compressed air to cool off the ignition parts and coils and see if it comes back to life. You can also do the reverse; get it...

1996 BF50 Honda Bogging out when trying to plane

My first guess would be a fuel issue of some sort. Either dirt in the carbs, or maybe a stuck float, maybe an air leak in the fuel line somewhere. Is the under hood fuel filter clean? Did squeezing the ball resolve it temporarily?

Are the stripped exhaust bolts actually nuts on studs? If yes, use a nut splitter to remove them, if you can get one in there.

    Starter question

Excellent! Maybe coat those connections in dielectric grease and get some rubber boots to cover them. That will prevent corrosion, and prevent accidental shorting.

In addition, a non-marine unit probably won't last long, especially if it's used in salt.

    Honda b75 K1 or K2, carb help.

If it's new to you then that definitely adds unknowns. Hopefully your hunch is correct and all is good now, please let us know the result. :)

    Honda b75 K1 or K2, carb help.

Check the float height and that the float valves are sealing properly. If it was running properly for a long time then this problem suddenly started, it's not likely an "adjustment" issue, but more likely something is wrong. If a float is leaking (sinking), or the tab bent (if it's metal), or...

    adding a tach 2000 Honda BF50A3

My 1999 50 is the same, it can be bouncy at idle, but once above 1200-1500 rpm it works perfect. It has been like that since I bought it new, the mechanic that installed it said a resistor could be added somewhere to smooth it out, but I never followed up on it.

Nissan 9.8A2 2004, 4 stroke, will not start

Running with the choke is an important piece of information. You've likely got a fueling issue, or possibly an air leak. An air leak sounds unlikely, or the symptoms would be more consistent. My guess is either the bowl isn't filling with fuel, or the slow speed jet or plumbing is clogged up...

Nissan 9.8A2 2004, 4 stroke, will not start

Re-check spark and compression. Get a spark tester that will test spark while the spark plug is in the cylinder, and/or one of the testers with a big gap, so you can test the strength of the spark. It takes more voltage to spark in a pressurized cylinder than in open air, so that's how you...

    honda 200 hp 2006

Check the spark and fuel injectors on those cylinders while it's running. You can get a spark gap tester where you can see the spark, make sure you see spark when it's running. Put a stethoscope on the injectors and make sure you hear the operating when the engine is running.

    2008 BF75 alarm at WOT

Read the codes to see why you got the alarm, otherwise you're just guessing. Speaking of guessing; when was the last time the water pump impeller was replaced?

Suzuki 250 4T, things to look for (2011 era)

My son is looking at a used Suzuki 250 4-stroke that the seller says is a 2011 model year. Can anyone tell me if there are specific common issues to look for on this particular model?

    Nissan 40 HP boat turtled

Could it be that one rebuild kit works with slightly different carbs, with that one part being different, so they included both and you just select whichever works with your specific carb?

2012 Tohatsu 30hp 2-stroke jet bogging at WOT

Is it possible you're hitting the rev limiter? If it doesn't have a tach, you can pick one up on Amazon for about $20 that will record the highest RPM, so you can see how high it's revving.
