    I need to set my gears...

    does anyone know the dimension that the tools that set the gearspacings on an Evinrude 1988 70 HP lower unit.? I am doing this myself and if i had the numbers i could make a guage myself( toolmaker)..I got my lower unit apart fine...but there were NO shims in either the drive shaft of the lower...
