    What is the thumb screw, (control nob), you can turn with you fingers do on the tilt trim pump inside the boat. The manual says it is the control nob but dose not say anything about what it is for. I guess the other thing is what dose the control valve assembly it self accomplish?

    Help water in oil and cyl 6 & 8 only + low comp 6 & 8 only

    Pulled the head after compression test reviled low compression on 6 & 8 only, (70l), and water in oil. Small pools of water were in 6 & 8 the ones that measured low compression. The rest of the cylinders seemed fine on that side, no water, and compression ok. 6 & 9 areas of exhaust manifold...

    Water in 6 & 8 only

    Water--lots is getting into 6 and 8 only. There was actually a 1/8 cup of so water in 6 sitting on top of the piston when I took the head off. Cylinder wall 6 had lots rust on it 8 much less but some 6 & 8 both had low compression 60-80 lbs--rest were fine 120 of so. Exhaust manifold ports on 6...

    Siera 18-4392 A replacement for Mercruiser part 27-75611A2, this intake manifold gasket set from Sierra fits: GM 305 & 350 CID engine, 898 (198 HP) 200, 228, 230/260 (inboard) 230, 250, 255, 260, 280 & 5.7L Ski. Is this set going to work for my old 78 305 898?
