    shift rod link properly mated. ?? do you have a borescope to look up the exhaust housing to see if the grommet is in good condition. try a dab of grease on the water tube. try turning the FW while to match the drive shaft and PW head patience brings joy...

    just remove the prop... do not adjust the high speed in a barrel...even more so without a prop

    just measure both boots to frame and they should be similar. swap the coils to see if the problem follows the coil or not.

    try some chlorine mix...keep it away from carpets it may clean thing up....it works wonders on patio stuff grimy with black mildew. let it work in a few minutes whil keepng it wet . after.... a day in the sun with lots of UV can help.

    if you install a spark tester... the ones that flash ... you may be able to see which plugs are misfiring . you can then focus on that circuitry. plugs all good .. yes ?

    lucky man... cracked coils === >low usage usually :) with new coils ...cleaned points and probably new condensers you should be good to go .. great motors btw. btw.... hard to see if you have a oiler felt in place easy to convert to pump if you have no tank or leaky tank
