    multimeter testing only checks resistance of primary and secondary windings it won't tell you if arcing is present or failure under heat the only time the test is valid is when to coils are OPEN but a non open coil is not always a good coil !! http://www.pochefamily.org/outboard/Coils.htm

    do you have other things not working ??? a blown fuse should cause other issues. if not back track the wiring from the selenoid till you find out why you do not get 12v from the key

    try slowly turning a stick of wax in the hole to copy the thread and diam..... unscrew then measure dia & thread count or used various taps till one screws in properly

    unless you satisfy the EMM hunger for the proper codes it will put the engine in safe mode or shut down depending on the code no oil code 38s will put you in safe mode. EARLY ETECS like my 2005 had sotfware and...oil pump issues that needed updating and replacing under warranty ...

    try to adjust the points openning as per this video to ensure plugs firing at the exaxt time. the gap is more or less academeic if the points "open" and fire the plugs at the proper time. btw "new" condensers could be "bad" condensers and old condensers could be "good" condensers ...
