    34 looks like idle needle try to open it up a bit .5 turn look for reactions (at worst.. count the turns.. take it out.. blast in some carb cleaner reinstall with same turn count) were eye protection yet... repumping usually means bad pump, air leak suction side , dirty fuel...

    Can the newer hex headed drain plugs be used for the vent plugs?

    HEX head drain plugs a real PITA when they are stripped.... it happens ! you then have to grind slot to take them out or bash the edges counterclockwise... lots of fun . after you do one you never install another one. jmho

    measure the boot to frame ohms in the slow/idle position of the throttle keep measuring the ohms as you rotate the trhottle and the mag plate truns all the way to fast.... ohms should be rock solid all the way from idle to fast did you change any condensers or coils clean the...

    it happens :-( concentrate on the bad plug...cct. the other one works ! could be condensers ( hard to test without a high voltage test box... VOM tests are not conclusive unless a solid short exists. did you swap wires to the bad plug why not install all new cooper core wires...
