    WELL... the 15 is a good engine and lots of folks bring them back alive. 2 coils are likely shot (cracked) they are 15$ each the rest maybe just a good clean of the points set at .020 Condensers may be bad also...

    normally +12 is taken of the selenoid +12 from the "battery side" post and then FUSED before distribution depending on the T&T model it may have 2 wires to the motor or 3 wires which either directly feed the motor and use a common ground wire ...or with 2 wires the polarity is...

    well I think you have the answer .. it is leaking the question now is ... did the shaft wear down the seal or did the seal just wear down. In any event you have 2 options repair or change oil a few times in the boating seasons make certain the oil screw nylon washers are new...

    step one... open clean/shine redo any connections associated with power distribution to the trim motor. the cleaner the junctions the more amps will flow to the motor and back via the ground. voltage without amps = no much going down below if you trim motor is relay...

    may not be your issue but a recent case of a bad idle on a 9.5 ( VERY diff. carb design) it turns out that if the angle of the engine his changed it idles better. next week I'll take a look at the float adjustment to hopefully fix it . the engine starts well, runs well but won't...

    1- you need the manual to service your engine tech lights are one thing there are four on the EMM you need to consult you should get yourself the diagnostic software to check fault codes or have a dealer plug in and give you a report after lights off on the tach that engine...
