    what ratio of lower do you have? remember, the upper is identical across all the drives, both SP and DP If you have F4's and are a bit too deep or you may need to drop to F3's make sure you are not chasing a motor problem.

    you realize that the flat woven ground straps are comparable to 4 gauge, however have 100% more flex. Not to mention are tinned copper for corrosion reasons and about 1/10th the cost of a jacketed cable. i would simply buy replacements if yours are corroded or damaged

    5GPM is less flow rate than the pump that is on there. What is wrong with the current pump? A new one from Johnson is only $130. Impeller kits only $25 What is the flow rate of your proposed diagram pump with 3' of head pressure?

    at idle you are at displacement speed. burning very little fuel on plane you are at planing speed. burning very little fuel trying to climb the hole, you are burning lots of fuel. save fuel, get out of the hole quickly

    your key switch on an outboard is for magneto ignition. it also controls the choke. the panel you have is for powered ignition. with lots of know-how, you could get it wired. however the switches will fail. a cover isnt going to help.
