    Unless you abandon wet exhaust and run jet boat headers, that cam has too much duration. 270 degrees is the max duration for wet exhaust

    I would buy new cables and follow the manual on adjustment. cables stretch slightly, however mostly the inner sleeve wears and the throw is not the same. being that your boat is 60 years old, you should be moving to the 5th set of cables by now as they last about 15 years.

    welcome aboard. most likely the 4 studs are corroded in the holes you will need more than just an eye bolt in the dipstick hole to hang it. maybe bolt it back onto the boat, then use a leather faced mallet. once you get the halves to start to move, you can drive plastic wedges in between
