1991 carburated 4.3 fuel pump output.

The same fuel pump is on the 5.0 and 5.7 and 7.4 The pump will support twice the HP you can make with the 4.3 Generally mechanical fuel pumps either work, or don't. If it doesn't work, $45 gets you a new Carter fuel pump

You are building a boat. The cost of the correct materials vs the wrong materials is about $300 If you plan on beaching, you need significantly more high strength cloth. I suggest 7-8 layers of 1708 and vacuum bag it to remove excess resin If you want to use the 24 oz cloth, suggest minimum...

    4.3 Carb v 4.3MPI

just a year before the 4.3 MPI, when there was a 4-barrel carb, the power was rated at 220hp as far as economy, no. as far as ability to make power, no. easier to start - somewhat. the only reason it shows slightly more power is you can take it slightly closer to the edge of the envelope...

Mercruiser 3.0 140 shakes at idle and bogs on acceleration. New Carb?

you pull your distributor apart. you measure the shaft diameter, the bore diameter and the length of the bushings, and you go to NAPA and buy distributor bushings for the right shaft diameter and housing diameter

    Mercruiser 5.7 won’t make power

I made an a-frame from 2x10's, 2x6's and 4x4's. then when I was done, I used the lumber to make a mezzanine on the rented storage unit. using the engine hoist in the truck works. just be careful the cargo tie downs do not come loose. they are only welded in the sheet metal.
