    you should also have an aluminum finned oil pan. I agree, leave it as is or go with a larger sump. FYI - even todays LT trucks with just a 5.3 in them have 8 quarts of oil.

    most early saginaw can-o-ham pumps use the SAE 3/8" Inverted flare (5/8-11 threads) however some newer use a metric there is a similar thread going from another user. use a section of 3/8" brake line, cut it off, use a small section of hose to tie them together.
