    dont do that..... it hurts the reef. you need a lot more force than a channel locks. if you want it straight, you need a hydraulic press. or leave it. I would call the dealer. I would put a dial indicator on the shaft to make sure you didnt bend the shaft. then I would run it.

    Unless you have a heat exchanger, run a marine intake or a cast iron intake. AD is right, even in fresh water, aluminum intakes corrode I am running an oval port RPM airgap on my BBC, however I am running a HX. The marine intake with dual alloy castings are a necessity.
