    first, drain oil and pressure check the gear case. it could be the 4 screws holding in the bearing carrier could be the o-rings on the bearing carrier it could be a seal it could be a crack

    gel coat cracks are common. especially on many newer styled boats with lots of compartments. if the boat is about 15 years of age it will really start showing cracks. in the hull restoration forum stickies is a guide on repairing gel cracks.

    make sure to neutralize the vinegar. the #088 heads are really nothing special. they are the generic GM rectangular port heads. I would do a bowl job and port the intakes a bit as well as gasket match the exhaust.

    the sensor you are asking about is the exhaust gas temperature sensor. not engine temperature. its in the exhaust risers.

    first, check the ground. you use a test light or a multi-meter. the ground is the white wire second, check the truck. new trucks have separate circuit for towing than the truck lights.
