    Suzuki DF6

Hello, I bought a 2023 Suzuki DF6 long shaft. My question is, Can the extension be removed and is the drive shaft a 1 piece or 2? I no longer own the boat that this was used on and the extra length is over kill. I use this small OB just for trolling, My bigger OB get me to where I am headed.

    Old Airguide "Sea Speed Tachometer.

I will hold onto the tach. It's like brand new, someone will need it for a restoration project. I know that it's around 1971 because the boat and the old Merc are both 71's. The boat sat in a back yard for about 16 years, outboard up. I bought it and replaced the transom and gave the boat a...

    1994 Force 120 controls.

Ok guys thanks for the help. Jiggz was right the tan/blue is the overheat alarm. Purple - keyed power to run gauges and stuff. Gray - sender on tachometer. Brown/white - trim gauge. Black - ground. I put this 120HP on a old 1971 StarCraft 18' SS. It had a Merc 140 that was left up for 14 years...

1994 Force 120HP tilt and trim questions.

I didn't take the motor itself apart but I put power to it and found that the brushes are worn. It will run and then start to jerk. I would say that the bushings/bearings are also bad. There is a Generator Exchange shop in town that rebuild small electrical motors, I drop it off to them.

    1994 Force 120 controls.

Ok, I found a little information on the internet. Black is Tachometer ground, Purple is positive on tach, Gray is alt or sender on tachometer. Still wondering what the Brown/white and Brown/blue are used for.

    1990 Lforce engine Bayliner Capri-

Do as Jerryjerry05 stated, remove the head as the gasket could be bad. Being number 1 the top cylinder, it will be easy to see if the rings did damage. People need to de-carb every season, the rings get stuck on one side and break.

    1994 Force 120 controls.

This 120hp uses the Mercury style control box. It has a plug that runs the gauges at the helm. My question is, there are five wires. One is brown/blue stripe. Brown/white stripe. Purple. Black, I assume is a ground. Gray is the tachometer wire. What are the brown/blue, brown/white and purple...

1994 Force 120HP tilt and trim questions.

Update, replaced the tilt/trim motor, and the problem is cured. Problem is the new motor is a Chinese brand, seems you can't get one made here anymore. I have the old and will see if it can be rebuilt.
