    Ok, ordered a mini ACR rated at 65amp. My alternator is 65amp. Now would a 4awg cable to the ACR from the house battery be ok? Or should it be 2awg, like the starting battery is? I will draw maybe 30amp from the house battery.

    The marina where I bought my boat suggested that instead of a second house deep cycle battery, to get a booster pack. I was thinking to put a second battery in for the stereo. Not sure which way to go. Looking for suggestions, or real world scenarios.

    True, it looked like the edge where the floor meets the gunwale was where it rotted. But I had delamination problems with the ACX also...... We just do not have good lumber at the big box stores.
