    SX-A thread repair

Try coating the threads with a liberal amount of Tripple Guard grease. It may just give you the seal you need.

    VP 2007 3L 135HP engine oil options

Your gear oil need to NOT to have limited slip additives. Many automotive gear oils do, you need to find one that does not. I use Amsoil marine gear oil.

Starting boat after 4 years - pre start steps

In addition to what you have mentioned, I would prime the oiling system by cranking the motor by over for a bit with the ignition(spark) killed to get some new oil into the passages and on the bearings.

    Aftermarket fuel pump recommendations

I bought a back up pump off of Amazon and used it while I rebuilt my OEM. I can't remember what brand it was but it worked fine while I used it. Look for a brand that has the best reviews I`d say.

VP SX drive low oil but no sign of leak

Always fill until it flows from the upper side vent screw hole. It is possible that you could have a driveshaft seal bad and that the oil has gone into the bellows. Now that you have the oil level registering on the dipstick, run it for a while and check it again to see if it has fallen. If not...

    5.0 GXi fuel problem

If the pump is sucking your gas from the separator/filter and running for a brief time then it may not be the pump itself but in the fuel delivery system to the pump. Try running the boat on a separate gas supply from the boat tank and see if it will run longer. Basically hook the pump inlet up...

5.7 Volvo penta oil drain kit

Most of the vacuum suction pumps made have a small hose that will fit down into the dipstick tube or you can go with a larger diameter hose and buy a barbed garden hose attachment and screw it to the larger diameter ring around the dipstick tube. I have used both methods and generally prefer the...

I would run it and check the oil again after a few outings. You may be ok.

    Bellows adhesive or not?

Having a watertight seal on the exhaust bellow is not critical. As long as you have enough lip to get the clamp to tighten on you should be good. Adhesive isn't detrimental until you go to replace that bellows with the next one, it can really gum up the mounting surfaces for the next time.

    Shift cable seals part numbers

That is not a critical component if you cannot find new. I just usually extend the cable and apply a liberal amount of drive grease to the extended cable.

    Engine Hard Starting when Hot

Also make sure that water is exiting the fuel pump. If the fuel pumps water jackets are clogged there will be no water passing through the pump to cool it.

To Drain Or Not To Drain

I think some of you are misreading the question. This is not a winterization question but a question of leaving a block with or without salt away in the block while in storage. Since I do not boat in salt and am not familiar with salt away, I will defer to those that do.
