Yes, it is designed to fit a standard garden hose.

    Help transom leaking

It`s hard to see a leak in the pic, but a leak anywhere on that hose would not be in conjunction with a bad bellows. The bellows could still be bad and need replacing but if you see water from that hose, it would not be bellows water.

    New to Volvo family

No need for muffs, use the blue port on the engine. Just start the water flowing before starting the engine. The port works well. Just remember to tighten the cap down good when done.

    Fuel return

In addition to the fuel line in and fuel line out, there is a fuel pump cooling (water) line that has a line in and a line out.

    Outdrive Paint & Prep

I`ve done mine for Fresh water. Used Zinc Chromate self etching as a primer and Volvo SX Silver as paint then sprayed Clear over that. it worked for me in fresh water, not sure if being in salt is different.

    Question about water in bilge

The water could be from several sources. It could be from the bellows, engine cooling hoses, bad thru hull connections, rain water that was settled in the front of the boat that didn't get to the rear until the front was lifted. Start with a for sure dry interior and take the boat to the water...

    De-winterize VP 8.1 Gi-J help please

So did they winterize the block and manifolds by draining them and storing them dry? Most winterizations account for draining the engine and manifold and refilling with antifreeze solution. Are positive that you will need to reattach the plugs and hoses?

Check and make sure the fuel cell cooling lines are flowing properly. They can get clogged which can result in pumps overheating.

    NEED A VP PROS OPPINION!

400 hours is not all that much. I would plan on changing the oils and filters if not done recently. Maybe plan on doing the distributor caps, rotors, plugs and wires sometime in the near future to create a maintenance baseline going forward. Also change the drive oil, if not done recently. No...

Lower Unit Gear Oil Change while on lift

Can you borrow a jon boat to float under the drive. It isn`t going to be easy but I guess it could be done.

    NEED A VP PROS OPPINION!

How many hours are on the engines? They are generally good engines and drives. It will all depend on how they were maintained. How old are the exhaust manifolds? You might plan on replacing them in the near future if not replaced recently.

Remove One Exhaust Bolt - Need to redo all bolts with new gasket?

I would think that you would be ok removing and reinstalling the bolt. The only thing I see you risking is shearing off the bolt and then having to remove the entire manifold.

Engine shutdown procedure VP 8.1 Gi-J

I think you are overthinking the situation. Water ingestion is not that common and unless someone has modified your exhaust system, I would not worry about it. I would advise not to come to a sudden stop after traveling at speed to avoid a high backwash against the transom.

    Outdrive Pressure test Question

If I remember right, there are several Youtube video`s online to reference before starting the task.

Had a similar issue a few years back, turned out to be a bad crank shaft position sensor.

2003 Chris Craft Launch 25 - VolvoPenta engine replacement - need engine advice

I don't know that I would plan to spend 20K on a new engine and drive on a 2003 boat regardless of its condition. it will not add that to the value of the boat. I would put a re-man engine 5.7 back in it and pocket the balance. Your torque problems could be solved by changing the prop(s).

Volvo Penta Fuel Pump Whining Noise

If indeed the high pressure pump is bad, there are many more remedies today than a few years ago. You can replace the entire unit with an aftermarket one for a couple hundred bucks or you can purchase just the high pressure pump and install it for cheap too. If you keep the origional unit, I...

My stern drive oil is black

Could be the wrong type of oil, very old oil or burnt oil from overheating. Change it regardless and I`d pull the drive for an overall inspection and service.

    Exhaust Riser?

Are you getting any overheating alarms? Do the risers feel hot to touch? If not, the stoppage in running is probably not related to the manifold/risers.

    Exhaust riser temperatures

I`d suggest you start by removing the thermostat housing and thoroughly cleaning out the internal passages. There are a few that can be hard to find if you do not know where to look.
