    Yes, the boat is moved back on the trailer about a foot to lower the tongue weight for trailering. It will be scooted forward once the engines are installed.

    I've been asked that by others as well . . . My materials, supplies, and tooling were about $12K. The Navel Architect was $5K . . . My time invested is about 400-450 hours. I would guess a shop would charge $30-40K, as it would basically be an extension and not a stand-alone bracket.

    The boat is in the shop . . . . . Lots of road closures due to re-surfacing (of course now that the summer crowds are here). So, it was a bit interesting getting to the shop.

    The boat is ready to go . . . over to the re-power shop in the AM. . . In other news, I have more flooring to install, which should keep me busy while the boat is in the shop. .

    There are lots of restoration threads that you can/should review to see how it is done. In general, don't worry about the existing holes as you will be replacing the core of the transom from the inside. The outdrive 'keyhole' will be of particular importance as that is your engine alignment...

    Getting closer . . . I got the bottom painted with anti-fouling paint. . . The wiring in the bilge is pretty much done . . . ripped out a bunch of wiring that no longer had a home. Still got blowers :D . . . The gelcoat came out chalky . . . probably due to my air compressor not being up...

    Progress update . . . I got the underwater areas barrier coated. AF paint to follow. . . Also, the mechanical's and wiring in the bilge are done. . . I ended up putting the main bilge pump in the exact same place as it was. Two secondary pumps are more towards the transom.

    I took a picture and drew a straight line along the keel. . . . not really a hook. . . maybe some unevenness . . . :unsure:

    I thought that it might have a slight downward angle to it. Maybe an 1/8" of an inch . . . But I have not put a straight edge on it to check. If it does, it will be deemed a feature (stern lift) rather than a defect. :ROFLMAO:

    I met with the re-power guy yesterday . . . A couple of tweaks to the helm instrumentation . . . . . A perfect storm of Honda, Veratron, Optimus, and Garmin . . . it might all actually work :ROFLMAO:
