    Repeated impeller failures, help

Thanks. Original post indicated that he had replaced 3 impellers, then mentioned tube? So where was impeller? There are only 3 places, that I am aware of, that may have an impeller: OD foot, Motor pully or crank pully, but I am no expert. Perhaps he has an Alpha??? Very curious now....

    Repeated impeller failures, help

do B3s use the same water pickup and distribution as B1s? I purchased so-called special kits to eliminate "Brovo-itus" during my rebuild. But, mine also had crank water pumps. The above looks (to me ) identical to B1s.

    Repeated impeller failures, help

20 year old boat? Is it salt water used? Water may be getting past internal seals around tube due to corrosion of metal. Or, you have incorrectly installed it. I'd lean more on corrosion causing issues. I am not real sure on B3s plumbing, but I had an 86 MC that had a similar tube issue. If this...

1969 Mako cut and gut project by Lectro88

I discovered by accident that a 2-3" small nap paint roller works better to roll glass/cloth and forces resin into weave and removes bubbles. I buy the cheapest ones from Home depot. Lowes are more expensive. I discard after use and just clean the roller tool.

Mercury wear pads missing cause of vibration?

In gear is when you have a load on motor and LOW rpms. MCs have a very good motor anchoring mounts, not like a car's. I have been fooled by bad wires or plugs too on a boat motor.

Mercury wear pads missing cause of vibration?

I suspect bad plug or wire somewhere. Pull wires at low RPMs and see if motor noise/rpm changes.

    Engine replacement

get you some acetone, plug risers and manifolds and test for leaks. If no leaks, I suspect head corroded like mine did and hydro-ed your motor.

Carbed Mercruiser 260 5.7L Missing Above 4000 RPMs

U should also have a canister type water/fuel separator filter, at least all of my carbureted Mercruiser had them. Go buy a cheap automotive electric fuel pump and pump some gas into bucket. If a 6-7 fuel E pump starves for fuel, I'd suspect something is plugged up. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

Yours may have clogged inline fuel filters. Mine did. Pain in the butt to get them out....
