    This is why I insist my vehicles have a factory trailer tow package on them. With today's funky wiring systems, the problem is solved when the vehicle is built. Never have I had an issue with the wiring in the factory tow package.

    As your filling the boat, stop and fill a small container with fuel then continue filling. Take that sample and put it in a clear glass container and let it set for a day, then look closely. Any separation or accumulated crud means your buying bad fuel.

    Your probably buying contaminated fuel from your fuel supplier. No way should you have that much crud in your fuel system. Find another fuel station. Many don't follow maintenance schedules or replace their filters as they should. Take a small container and take a fuel sample to test on...

    They should have reciepts, even if the work was done by the owner, there should be receipts for the materials. With no way to prove any maintenance or repairs....it would need to be a bargain or I would walk away.

    Also...what is the load capacity if those 14" tires? Trailer load and tire load capacities are needed to make a safe recomendation. Next thing would be how well the hull matches the supports. Many glass boats suffer hull damage from an ill fitting trailer.

    I don't have a fiberglass boat, but have friends that do. Most paint their bilge to keep them looking good and far easier to clean. Color is a personal choice but light gray is popular.
