Engine runs all day long....once it's warmed up. Problem I am having is to get it warmed up I need to cover up and let go of the breather pipe to carb. Filter is new...oil..spark plugs...primer bulb isn't soft it seems to stay full...filter full of gas

2 barrel 302. Not sure of gear ratio..it is an mc-1..no idea what it weighs either. It's a good size boat.

I have recently installed a new engine and took it out...wot is about 3500 rpm and slow out of the hole to get on plane...my prop is a 14x19p 3 blade aluminum...it was suggested I drop pitch...16 was the suggested. Any thoughts or is that right

Had starter at an auto electric shop...he replaced the gear assembly..no grinding anymore...boat fired right up and finished initial breakin without a hitch...thanks for all you help

Everything installed on new build. Went to do the initial break in on ford 302 and my starter is now grinding and won't kick out. It gets stuck. The engine fired right away but because of the racket I stopped. Perhaps shim it out? When the engine was still hanging I spun it by hand with starter...
