You need to monitor the battery voltage and the voltage at different places before starting and after. with motor running you should be reading over 12.5VDC probably around 13.5 or 14 I do not believe the battery voltage your gauge shows is correct if it goes to 0 and RPMs drop I was wrong it...

You can always use GPS speed if you are not too particular on the difference in water speed and GPS, land speed. currents do affect water speeds, going with or against the current

I would think if there are no fuel pressure regulators then the pump itself would have something to control the pressure. that is why I mentioned checking the other pump to see what is shows
