    If it were me......cleanup all the threads, including running a tap into the casting, loctite does not work well in a crappy enviornment, get the crud out ! Use blue loctite and reassemble.

    My last three manuals off EBay were 15 bucks for my small Merc 2.2, paid 35 bucks for my Mercuruiser manual and 20 bucks for my 40 to manual. Money very well spent considering how much those manuals helped !

    Your lucky that yours is offset to the side a little, mine is directly in front of the motor, making it a real pain to fillup. No idea why they mounted it in such an awkward place !!

    With all the apps and other computer controlled gizmos on new cars, while it might be fun......Chrysler has already had issues with hackers using these to steal your vehicle ! Be careful what we wish for !

    Would have to have a leak in the fuel tank, being built-in would require a deck fill cap. Unless they really get sloppy when filling he should be good.

    Good set of side guides, adjusted properly will prevent the scraping as well by keeping the boat centered at all times. Loading depth is also critical as you have discovered.
