Barnacle remover?

The leg and props had barnacles all over them. They pressure washed most of them off but there's still that crusty crud where they were. Anyone found any miracle product to remove all traces of them?

    I bit the bullet!

    Bought it today.
Got a few months moorage included.
The haulout revealed a 'ton' of barnacles on the leg and props. Had to sea trial it like that... too bad. So I'll bring it home and do a good clean up on it before I start using it.

<br...

    My timing is crappy!

Figures! A beautiful 24' Sundancer has come up for sale and of course, I went out a couple weeks back and bought a 23' Baja as a 'in the mean time' boat. So the Sea Ray has an offer on it but the broker, a friend, has told me he doesn't think it'll be accepted. It only came up a couple days ago...

What to do about a jerky neighbor?

We live in a quiet, family oriented neighborhood. There's lots of kids, people walking, pets... a very cozy place really and everyone gets along. One fella' differs though. He's decided recently that everyone elses pets are his enemy. He has 4 cat traps in his yard baited with fancy 9-lives...

    Won't trim up

    Merc.
Will trim down with the toggle but will only come up with the 'trailer' switch. This makes me think it's not a fuse or breaker. Is this as straight forward as I think it is? It's been raining like crazy so I haven't had it apart yet. One power wire to the thumb toggle, one wire up...

Northwest folks, what's with the weather?

Another storm rolls through... power out, trees down and more sleepless nights at work. I thought all the trees had blown down already! Last night in Saanichton we had gusts of 60 mph. This is right on the heels of 3 other similar storms but this one was colder with a -15 wind chill. Previous to...

    Party girl update

Some of you might remember me posting about my woman partying with her girlfriend next door all the time. We did break up like I said but we never 'severed' the ties and I didn't stay away. For some stupid reason I thought I could fix things up and she'd see how her behavior was destructive for...

    Best picture from the water

We've had some great 'show your boat' threads. Let's see your favorite pictures taken from your boat.
I figure now's a good time to do this 'cause JB learned how to post a picture again. :) ah ha

I'll put a few up...

That's Piers Island that the sun appears to be...

    I should've stayed home.

I have a propane furnace in my boat. Last night I took a few buddies out for a cruise and it was quite nice out so we sat on the bridge. As the sun went down it cooled off quickly so we went into the cabin. I had the seat covers on the seat but they must have slipped off at some point onto the...

    This is gross

The story says it all. Why does stuff like this happen? I saw this story a couple days ago and today I had to work next to a chipper. I couldn't stop thinking about the poor fella'... I think you'd be concious (but in shock) right until the end. Yuck!

    My computer's dead :(

I can't do a normal startup but every second or third attempt it'll let me try safe mode but stops and goes blackscreen again just after the login screen comes up. I'm taking it to my computer geek tonight. I don't know how to fix it.

I'm at work.

    Best trailerable boat under 25'?

I just may be in the market for a new boat soon. I need an optioned up weekender style of boat like a Sundancer on a trailer. I need a newer, low hour, safe and sturdy unit (got a 3 year old son that loves boating) that'll sleep 4 and have a head with a sink and stove top. Is the Searay the best...

    Holley tires

Unfortunately I only have 3 but they're unused early 70's made by Holley (yes Holley made tires for a while) 70 series 14" radial tires. Maybe someone doing a era correct hot rod might need them? Talk to me. I don't need them.

    Gut removal

We were talking about body weight a while back... I decided to lose some weight this year and I found this little diet thing that actually works. It all revolves around a soup recipe... of which you can eat as much of it as you want. I've lost a pound a day since I started... so has my neighbor...
