    Prop song if it is the propeller.... Though typically I've only ever had it on straight shafts. It does go away on its own after running some or you can take the props to a shop and they can tune them and get rid of it. (again if that actually is the problem.)

    Chances are that's what was in it when new. At one point there was a warning to not mix the two types but I don't believe that exists anymore.

    I'd still not worry about it. Set the carb up read the plugs after running around a bit and see if you can get it to act up. If not, don't worry about it. From the photos, your engine doesn't seem to be at an insane angle or anything hence why I missed it was a straight shaft.

    I was going to say. The only time I even remember seeing the wedge spacers on the mercs was on the inboard setups. If you look at the angle they're mounted at it makes total sense why. I never saw a wedge in the parts break down for an I/O... Spacers and adapters? Yes but no wedge.

    I think, according to bulletin 99-10, those would be the correct gaskets for your application and thermostat housing.

    Surface water (lakes, streams, etc.) Are required to have both disinfection and filtration in most cases. Lake george also treats and dumps their waste water (sewage) back into the lake. Chances are they're chlorinated as well as adding polymer to their filtration process.

    Whatever it was rigged with. I believe 5/16 chain. The anchor I don't remember the weight but it is a traditional danforth. Next time I'm down I can check the weight.

    My 33 has ~150 feet of chain in the bow on top of ~500 feet of rode. I always joke it was rigged that way to help keep the bow down. In the bay it's totally unnecessary and I keep meaning to shorten it. The clunk when anchored is quite annoying. Works great offshore.
