    Grill on Pontoon

I saw that style but the grill mounts didn't appear to match my grill's bolt spacing. Real convenient.

    Adding third toon

I'd think so...and there might be a simple solution, maybe not. These are things that aren't thought about, until the "oh crap" moment. That's why I say talk to someone who knows what is involved. I looked at adding a 3rd toon from a company that sells the pre-formed, sectioned 3rd toon kit. I...

    Adding third toon

that middle piece is usually called the motor pod. On my pontoon it is all part of the transom, all one piece welded aluminum, bolted to the crossmembers. You need to find a trustworthy knowledgable person/place that understands the dynamics of adding a 3rd toon. Will that toon have the transom...

    17 vs 19 vs 21 Pitch?

I don't see a 10 mph increase.....maybe 5. Props aren't magical . They're for fine tuning. The #'s you see are for the same boat, load , and conditions. Props were new Merc. 3-16x13 and a 3-16x12. You can see the 12 pitch hit 22.5 mph@6000. I could hit 6100+ rpm which could get me 23+ mph but...

Sad Day For the SS United States

according to all the articles I've read about re-purposing the ship over decades, all of those avenues had been exhausted. A museum, a refit, a shopping "plaza", a restored exterior display with historical status. the universal conclusion was too much money. The objectionists always only offer...

    Prop Selection - Bayliner 175

all that's left, then, is to scope the cylinders....and revisit the type of pistons (domed maybe?) ....was there a performance head available? What octane fuel are you running? question...can a motor run as good as you say with water infiltration as mentioned?

    Prop Selection - Bayliner 175

well...here's this, So, carbon buildup in the cylinder/head could cause abnormal high psi's.,....is your engine showing signs of pre-ignition/detonation? And, is there a "knock" sensor on these motors like a modern car's motor? If so, could that be the reason timing shows retarded at higher...
