    I am looking at a motor that I may purchase. Owner says it won't go over 3000 rpm. He's thinking electrical issue. It has good working power trim. Any thoughts? He asking 600 which is a decent price for this area.

    Water in gear oil-1977 Merc 850

    I was going to change my lower unit lube and I see that I have water in the oil. Could you great Merc gurus tell a fella where all the seals/gaskets are. I believe there is a rubber seal at the prop shaft? And probably around the Impeller?...Any help is appreciated.

    1978 MFG Gypsy Rebuild

    Re: 1978 MFG Gypsy Rebuild They are bilge blower air vents. Mostly used in I/O but can be used to get some fresh air into the bilge area to disperse fumes. A hole has to be drilled and they go over the hole. Usually a 3'' hole is average.
