Re: 175 faststrike prop?
I'm seeing the part about the hydraulic steering now that effects this.
When I got this hydraulic, it was THE BOMB! (I heard some kids say that here while back...lol).
Anyway, it was the greatest thing I'd ever bought for my boat.
Instructions said to use an even spoke steering wheel. My idea of "why" was that it probably had some "bleed by/off" or "drift" in the steering wheel. YES, steering wheel is never in the same place twice when boat is loaded.
Still, didn't bother me at all.

NOW it does. I think it bypasses slightly due to the pressure of torque steer, or, just the pressure of turning makes it bypass. OR, I'm just imagining it? I get that "soggy" feeling when trying to adjust the steering to compensate for shine walk.
Is that correct or am I just imagining it?

Dhadley, Kenny...ONE MORE THING. I'm 1.5" below the pad with the propshaft now.
WHY WHY WHY will be Yamaha M series 25p prop take off with a GOOD holeshot. And get me into chinewalk at 63mph.
-vs- the 25p Tempest. It blows out when the boat breaks over on plane, grabs, lets go, grabs again...finally on plane....then it will run on up to 65mph before the boat starts chinewalking.

I just want the top end characteristics of the tempest with my Yamaha 25p to get me there...lol.

Could there be something wrong with the Tempest?
