Re: 18' Starcraft SS Restoration

Thank you guys. I'm sure you know I had to work for that paint job though. I kinda decided on the colors and paint scheme while I was staring at my bass boat. Reversed the colors but same basic design. You can't believe how bad I wanted ya'lls approval. You guys are great and set the standards high so I didn't want to dissappoint you, or embarrass the Starmada. Still along way to go but I gotta tell ya, I'm one happy camper.:D

The early mornings are due to thinking about the boat. I think it has been diagnosed as Starcraft fever. Its a strange virus that only attacks nuts, adventurists, inventors, handsome, verile, and intelligent men. Still not sure how I got it. Hanging around these sites increase the danger of contamination.
My motto is " I know its right, 'cause I done it twice"

Paint looks great. I didn't realize your 2nd color was going to be gray. I'm even more in favor of the bright red now with the gray. Looks great.

INSIDE???????????? I have to do that too??

Yeah Buddy, I gots me some plans for that. BWAAAAAA
If you like the paint, wait till I get to the interior. No fancy interior, just a few 'tricks'. LOL And they said a warped mind like mine couldn't do sh*^ ;)

Thanks EZ. I hoped it would do ok.

Looking GREAT... Nice job.. How's it feel up there on top of the world!

The next part is the hard part. It'll feel like you're never going to get done but then all of the sudden you're ready to splash.

Just remember, the interior goes together in layers. The worst thing to discover is something like forgetting to tighten the fuel inlet hose clamp and having to pull the deck out again. It happens so just be patient and take your time.

I've come to the point where I use a check list just so I can remind myself that I did do something and that way it doesn't drive me nuts worring about it.

Re: 18' Starcraft SS Restoration

Thanks SSchefer. I am kinda strange when it comes to this stuff, always have been. By the time I physically start the work I have done it many times in my head. I agree with you though I should write it down. There is actually a lot involved to the pre work before the floor goes down. I want an areated livewell, bilge pumps (2 minimum), recerculator pump for LW, belly gas tanks (2), well, you get my drift...a lot of planning, measuring, etc. This is the major advantage of all you guys experience. I don't believe anyone would let someone make a stupid mistake and you can't beat the input. Theres only two rules:

1. Share your ideas, thoughts & questions
2. Listen to the replies

So simple, even a Fshngho can do it. :D

all in all a good day. Even if I didn't get anything done on the boat.
For those that are wondering, no I am only showing each fish once. Just no need to lie, its not like we are in a tourney. LOL
