Guys, I thought I would share a pic of my nearly completed trailer...not the dog (more on him later). I had a friend re-weld a new prop guard and lower the fenders. I covered the old steps with aluminum diamond plate. Then I stripped it of rust and debri. finished it off with black rustoeum. Still need new bunks, winch post and winch. It does look alot better though.
As far as the dog...he chewed the green wiring off the trailer. I thought dogs were color blind? green tennis ball...green wire...humm

My parents dog ate the cap & it's keeper from the RV dump hose..... Not green but.. uuggghhhhh No accounting for taste choices...

Trailer looks much better. Black trailer will really look great under the red hull.

Thank you! I think the boat and trailer will look dynamic together! Not your grampa's Chris...
I know that this trailer was built for the boat, ready for pick up from the factory. build card says it was delivered to dutchman boats in San jose,ca. I repacked the wheel bearings and found that the spindles were different sizes. It has brake drums for wheel hubs?? most likely built in some guys backyard! I like the trailer alot! old school for sure. too easy to go buy a modern day trailer for a classic...

Guys, I have 8 coats of varnish applied and it looks great!! I'm now working on the bootline. It gets painted white. AND...that will complete the bottom portion of this project! I will take pics of the bootline and of course pics of the flip back over. A little concerned about that part! STAY TUNED!!!

Big day today guys...with the help of some friends, I got it flipped back upright and on the trailer. I'm so glad that the flip went well and is done! I was kinda freaking out about the whole flipping process...
