I think you picked & applied a great color for the dollhouse too

Starcraft obviously thought so too, since they painted my Holiner pretty much that color when they built it back in '65......

Ok.... no pics... but I have been working away! Just not terribly exciting pics of watching spar dry...

So sit wrap.... floor is in and screwed together at the doublers. Going to be riveting down this week. One last coat of spar then vinyl. All other bits have a 3 coats of spar --- sides, bow bulk head, transom (in now) and side console. Have the dash piece to spar and a few other "special" bits and then on to putting it all in.

Going to need to order a bunch of bits shortly --- floor vinyl, new steering cable, vinyl for the console, some marine carpet for the sides etc. Wiring to do while waiting for the vinyl to get delivered.

Hope everyone is doing well! Spring is really, really close --- I think!

Where you been hiding Jim? First day of spring, and we have a snow fall and wind warning for the next 24-48 hours, go figure.

Hey Glen,

Been busier than all get out.... another 2 weeks and I should be able to get my "priorities" straight and get back at boat building...

Ya... I think that is coming our way tomorrow night! Yikes...!!!

No wonder we haven't seen any progress pics lately, Jim. The old creaky bones are holding you back. Do you have Geritol available in the Northland? :D

Have a great birthday, TinBud.

Re: 1960's Falcon Rebuild (New Title)

ok... bit of change going to happen here...

The Merc 500 has been sold.

Console is gone.

Going back to the original thoughts I had when I got this boat.... tiller.

Just really keep refining what I want out of this boat for the family... and with one boat for the 6 of us and 4 dogs... it just didn't seem right to build one 75% as big... serving basically the same purpose. Soooooo.... I feel a lot better about this now.

Now I can move forward with build knowing for sure it will be a tiller boat. Going to keep it light and open inside.... 4 pedestal seats. Tank up front. I have all the insides ready to assemble.

Just gotta figure out how to cut the splash well back... ??????

There ya go... this is Version 5? Moving forward again...

Are you sure, Jim? :joyous:

On the SW, can you basically move it back by cutting and re-riveting for a 8-10" SW? SWAGing here.

I love that another boat builder changes his mind as much as I do:topsy_turvy::decision::bounce::stupid::indecisiveness:
