1 qt. black and 1 qt. white if I recall correctly. The paint goes on *very* thin and covers well. That's for my 14' boat.

Re: 1961 Larson All-American 14'

Hi All:

Here's a small page I threw together for the bimini:

http://www.stevewolverton.net/bimini.html

I hope it helps. I haven't checked for spelling/grammar/gremlins yet, but it should give a good idea of how I built mine.

Your link is down, and I was just ganna print it out to get started on building mine :(

anychance you still have it somewhere?

Hi - I sent a response about the bimini page via private messages.

I really need to save all this stuff as a PDF and make it available. That sounds like a good project when I get some free time this summer. :)

Steve, GLAD you POPPED by in, all your pic's are gone:eek: When you get some time can you link them again. I was following your thread as a guide & one day the pic's were gone.

BTW: how's the boat doing?

Hi. I let my domain expire, but I do have all the pics saved on a flash drive and my computer at home. I'm away from my apartment as I'm currently building a house.

As soon as I get another hosting site setup, I'll re-link the images.

I've sold the '61, but I have another project. I now have a 1976 Glastron GT-150 that I'm going to pimp out! :D I split the boat last weekend to install a new floor/transom. I'm taking pics of that project too.

Hi - sorry for the delay but I've been away from boatville for awhile. ;) I'll try and get those pics online again tonight.

I've picked up another boat very similar to my 14' (I got a 1960 Larson All-American 16) that I'm currently working on. I'm going to go all out on this one too. I will start a new thread about that build tonight too.

STEVE!!! So glad you're back. You gotta fix your pictures (if possible). Your project is so cool that I've wanted to reference it for a number of people during your hiatus but alas, no pics :(

Welcome back.

Thanks ezmobee. I took a peek at the file names and I think all I have to do is upload the pics to my new host and edit the posts for the new URL. It shouldn't be too bad.

I had a lot of fun with that boat - I'm really looking forward to my '60 Larson next. :D

Actually - I have most of the pics, but I'm going to have to resize and rename them. Ugh. Ok - here goes. Bear with me, this may take awhile.

Nice boat, Steve. I just bought a '59 myself which needs all this done. I'm just curious - you've mentioned a couple times that you should have removed the deck as a whole - why is that, exactly? It's not clear to me that it would have saved a lot of time, unless I'm missing something...
