Great work! Foam and deck look great. Did you fix the leaks? And I forget if you coated the undersides of the deck boards with something.?

Yeah, only one leak, right in front, under the center knee brace{where I found corrosion when I had her flipped upside down...lifted her yesterday and poured the last of my gluvit smack on it...I epoxy coated the bottom two coats{same as topside} hope it's enough for a few years...as in 'decade'

Great looking restore. Keep up the good work. Wish i was as far a long as you are.

I think I'm about done with mine..finished installing the snaps on the carpet today, and I think its a wrap. Might do a a bit more hull polishing, but other than that...its Summertime!

Did ya have to do it to my coyotes?? Wings were tough.

Not much to share today, been juggling odds & ends but getting some progress.
Got the interior gunwales stripped today, what a mess, should of done it before the flip. I put three tarps down to protect the deck and had my own version of a slip n slide...but managed...got her topside ready for paint tomorrow{hopefully}...here's some lame ol fotos of the day..lol

Looks like you did some serious prep work. That looks almost like new tin. Great work.
I can relate to the white legs too, one of the smart as# guys here ask me if those were my legs or was I riding a chicken.
Boat looks good.

What a awesome thread! This makes me feel bad about my whining I've been doing about my little problems! VERY impressed with ALL your work! Maybe you should open up a shop to solve your unemployment problem? Seriously, EXCELLENT work evidenced throughout!

BTW- LOVE the commentary and your pics are outstanding! I LOVE iboats! (Don't think my wife is impressed, though. The past 3 weeks I've either been working on my boat or reading about everyone working on theirs or asking them how to fix mine! LOL.)

LOL, The support here is fantastic, all these super comments on how she looks, or of my work, make me smile...believe me when I say they're much appreciated, a major part of my inspiration to keep after her....

but...

The reality of this whole make-over has nothing to do with any talent, tricks or what-not's of my doing's...in this case, it's merely putting lipstick on a pig. Seriously, up close there is so many dings and dent's, that I've considered using flat textured paint thrown heavily over it all and call it done

As you might of guessed, the top paint didn't go as well as planned, it's like it magnified every single flaw and cast the spotlight upon them....grrr....no pictures until I wet sand her and throw another coat or two on her{winter parka's probably won't be thick enough}...Funny, how the closer ya think your getting, the more the little things come to the surface....it's gotta be 5 O'clock somewhere

Hey man I feel your pain! Hey these boats aren't new. I look at mine everyday and wonder how in the **ll some of the damage had occured. The rub strip channel being bent up so bad. The 2 creases in the sides. Was the conditions that horrible that it tore up the boat or were the previous owners just that inexperienced and tore it up? My boat is 32 years old! I only have ten more years on her and I know I have a few dents and dings in my a** too!

Couple of days off did me some good I think...the paint was getting to me...but not today ...Thankfully the rain held off until this evening, got the last of the tape off and the sprinkles started landing...still need to wet sand it all again one more time and possibly clear coat it.
