Ok need advise. We got it apart and inspected everything. Is there a difference between these two clutch dogs? Also is there a difference between the forward and reverse gears? The clutch dog on the left is the the one that came out of the lower unit. The one on the right is a NOS part. The casting looks different the (ramps) look different. New one is much larger? Is this something need to be concerned about? The areas circled in red are worn on both sides. Also where they correspond and mate to on the inside of the forward and reverse gears. New owner bought the forward gear,clutch dog,and some gaskets. Looks like we should replace the reverse gear too now that we see it’s worn on the inside as well.
Also if there is any tips I need to re assemble. Anything I’m missing? The manual I have isn’t the great on info.
