Luckily there is a shop called A & E Marine here in Comox area that works on OMC setups, there aren't many left here but the mechanic there is great and has helped me out lots.

JR. I have run with the kicker up like that many times, especially when pulling the kids on a tube or skis, this allows clearance for the tow rope attached very close to the kicker during turns. I haven't given it much thought, maybe I should check on that. It rides quite secure though with some bounce. In rough seas/waves the kicker is always locked all the way up not tilted. kennyo

don't think there is anything wrong with it up, and honesty I hadn't thought about the tow rope which I will been to think about. Just was a selling point when i was researching that didn't have to (out of the water). Just lift, not lift and tilt.
