Cool stuff. It's like Christmas almost. Temperature feels like it anywho.

Yeah I hear ya TC! 1 day it's in the forty's, that night it's in the single digits with a wind chill below 0!

Wow! Now I'm getting excited!
You're getting soooooo close!
:D

Me too GT! Just need some warmer weather to get the ambition to do some work on her. So damn cold in the garage I do not feel like being down there for long.

For some reason, maybe the year and style or the boat, it just needed a trumpet horn on her.
Thanks for the tip on the paint as I think I may paint it. A black wheel in the sun gets hot! :)

Alright, I think I got the cable mess figured out and working right so we pushing closer to splash.

Got the steering link finished. I was able to modify an old one I ad from another motor setup. Ned to get pics of the painted, finished product.

Also go the trailer registered :)

Here is the steering link dry fitted:

Kinda a hack job but the motor that was on before was a thru tilt tube setup so this was kinda a pain doing a transom mount. The cable I have (the second one I have ordered) is a bit too long but the next size smaller would be too small.

The jury is still out on how well it will hold up. :blue:

I did spend $195 on an insurance policy if I have any problems :)

I am open to anyone's suggestions.

That's it for now. Thanks everyone :joyous:

Sprayed the rub-rail yesterday. We'll see how this stuff holds up?

Got the new fender mounted, new wheels on, the trailer plate mounted, the hull numbers on and the trailer guide posts adjusted :)

Waiting on extra spark plugs and just need to mount the boarding ladder on the transom then I think we are good for the splash :)

Any recommendations on insurance for a 1968 boat that has been completely rebuilt?

Here's a good question, What was the value you have insured the boat, trailer and motor for?

Feel free to PM me if you want.

Thanks everyone.

Call you insurance agent for your Car! That's what I did and had them investigate it for me. Told them I restored a vintage boat and what I thought it would cost to replace it. I sent them detailed pics MFG, Year, Model, approx. costs to restore, etc.. and they insured the Blue Flamingo for $3K @ $50 a yr. One of the MAJOR National Insurance Carriers. I have my House and Car with them.
