The through hull fitting looks like a porthull window.:facepalm: Just hook the pump up on a float switch and forget about it. Nice work Azlo, impressive. Oh yeah, we use the revnut tool to install all the handles on storefront doors. Gotta love 'em.

If you do use a float swith make sure you wire in a on/off switch,...

When the boat is dry and your pounding waves it will come on and off wearing out the pump,..

The same thing happnes when trailering down the highway,......

Love the SS fittings for that bilge pump, I just ordered some smaller ones for my SS.

BTW my dad was in Dallas all last week, that was almost the same as what we get all winter up here

Dang Alzo I need to mod my sandblaster like you did. That pup will flat move some paint now. That bilge line looks cool. Will it allow for flex? Great job man.

Ok little observation here, and correct me if I am wrong. Doesn't the bilge pump need to be standing upright? Otherwise the water would have to be a deep as the pump itself in order for it to pump. Also bilge lines need to have a loop in them to prevent water intrusion if the hull fitting goes under water.

Ok little observation here, and correct me if I am wrong. Doesn't the bilge pump need to be standing upright? Otherwise the water would have to be a deep as the pump itself in order for it to pump. Yeppers my friscoboater, you are right. The pump does have to be completely submerged. It is an awkward position since it could not fit strait up. One option I had is to lay it on it side as it is. But this pump is only for extreme leaks, last resort. Water would have to be above the floor. Now keep in mind that I will installing a secong general bilge pump (1000gpm) that will fit straight up and will be used a primary pump.The other option I have is to place it in the second rib, a suggestion made by starcrafter65, but I need to put the engine in that the reason why i havent clamped the tubing yet. As far the loop the pump has a one way valve in it. I know this will work but it just looks awkward. But I will post a vid soon. Im just waiting for this weather to pass, I dont want my pipes to freeze.

Alzo not trying to nit pick but those pumps are measured in gallons per hour GPH not GPM. They also don?t move that much water when you are sitting there looking at the back end of the boat full of water. Don?t ask how I know this.

Your right, I stand corrected.:redface: It should be GPH. Yeah man I know but since i got this big a... pump i gotta make the best of it. :facepalm: f I was to do it again I would have 2 (1000 GPH) and not a 4000 GPH pump. We learn from experience.
