got some work done yesterday... not much but got it cut out. i used a 32tpi jigsaw to make the cuts and it did a really good job!

Thanks! But im not really doing it for the room... doing it for accessability. I liked the storage I had with the closed bow actually. But this will make it easier for beaching.

I think that's going to come out neat Andy. You're probably going to have to find a different windshield though as yours has such a tiny center section instead of 3 somwhat equal sections.

ive been going back and forth about the windshield and may end up not using one at all. i may just fabricate some sort of wind deflector or something.

Ones like the one I found for my Jupiter or the one you had on your MFG shouldn't be too tough to find on an rotted glasser somewhere. Maybe put a wanted ad on CL or something. Someone with an old boat in the backyard with a tree growing out of it may be interested in making a couple dollars for a part of it

the walk through on my mfg was actually really narrow. i barely fit through it! then again, thats not hard...

im going to fab up the bow deck and consoles and take it from there... i could always take the windshield i have and move them outward to give more room in the center and ditch the middle glass...

okay guys, i came up with an idea to eliminate the windshield and still keep some protection from the wind. i know its rudementry, but you get the basic idea. i want to build a "peak" on the console that will direct air upwards.

think it will work and still look good?

Could you use your current windshield and simply build consoles to support it? You have a swing out middle piece eh?

i could do that. but im not sure that i want to... for a few reasons. first is that the bow was curved, so the windshield was set up to follow the contour. although i havent checked to see what the shape of the actuall frame is. but i think it would be neat to emilimate it.

Jason, that would have been my suggestion as well but check out Andy's windshield. It's kinda an oddball one where the center section is unusually small and the outer sections are big. A little too big to just sit on the consoles by themselves.

i thought of something like that too jeremy, but then i thought it would be nice to have a place to mount gauges and fishfinder and stuff higher up, as opposed to down on the vertical dash where the steering wheel will be. thats why i thought of using wood to make it a triangle shape. but now that im thinking about it, what if i used plexi and painted it black?

i was just thinking that. but how would i trim it?
