Low maintenance and bullet proof. You did a nice job cutting those sheets.

Re: 1971 16' ss

It's probably $500ish worth of aluminum that I've used on the boat. (2+ sheets of tread, 2 sheets of regular flat sheet stock) I purchased it locally from a place in Oregon.

The floor paint is the same Rusto Hammered Silver, but when I added the Anti Slip Additive it made it appear a Matte color.

If you want to put in the work as well...feel free to copy it. lol Wood is definitely the faster way to get things done.

Veilside what if i wanted to copy your boat? where did you get your Diamond tread and how much more was it over wood? i like the thought of not having to do this again. what did you paint the insides of the boat i thought you used the same thing you put on the floor but in this pic it dose not look the same?

Thanks yours looks great thats about what i thought on the aluminum it will last for ever. what about mounting seats i know you built bases if i want to use the pedestals would i need to put something under the floor or just rivet to the floor? did you use 0.68 or thicker on the floor? sorry for all the questions.

The floor is .125 tread. The seat boxes I'm building will be 14"x14"x8" out of .080. I think it would really depend on how wide the base of the pedestal is on whether you need to reinforce it, although it's never a bad idea.

Little taste of what some of the lighting is on the boat. All of the lighting is LED's.

Interior Lights. They are a strip of LED's that go around the entire boat under the gunnel. Can do a myriad of colors that change by remote control.=)

Bow Lights

Installed the bow rail, but we cut off the front section to clear the trolling motor and anchor bracket.

Those lights are great bud, where did you get them if you don't mind me asking? I have been looking for pretty much just what you have and I was sitting here thinking about just ordering a set of blue ones. The setup that you have would be just the ticket bud. Man this boat is very nice.

I would go over and look in his boat if I knew where he lived for sure. Maybe even hijack and hold for ransom something till he forks over the info:D

Good luck with that. The boat isn't stored at my house.=)

We ordered the lights from overseas since all of the American distributors wanted twice as much. I'm still trying to get the link for you guys though...despite stating otherwise. lol

I'll be rafting till Saturday (leave tomorrow), so you guys will have to wait until I return.

Thanks Veil,, that's just too cool to show us and keep mum. I understand though about setting the rig apart but dang that rig is already way from the pack. I'll tell you what, just PM the link and I swear not to tell anyone or post pics of it on my boat.;)

We will be waiting for the link buddy. I really like those lights on your boat bud, your whole boat just is an awesome piece of work and think that you have done a great job.

Be safe on the rafting trip my friend. The week before I moved to Oregon I went on a rafting trip as well and it turned out freaking bad. We flilpped the raft twice, second time I was in the river for over a mile. If I had not been able to get out when I did then I don't think that I would be here today. I was wiped out and it took every last ounce or energy for me to make it to the a rock that I now love very much:D. I was withing a 100 yards of going into some very nasty rapids again and really think I would not have made it. Have not been in a raft since, and am still very leary around the water. The river we were running normally flows 2800 cubic feet a min. We did not check that day what it was running, found out afterwards that it was running almost 7100 cubic feet a min. Yea it was a really bad day, but no one was seriously injured thank goodness. So yea please be safe bud.

The next Starcraft outing......Ole' Hoss gets punched in the throat...wakes up and meets Veil for the first time. No questions asked, I'll know why.
