If you run the engine on the trailer, there is no exhaust backpressure (from the exhaust being 20" underwater.) For that reason, the engine will rev up a little more. Usually around 1200-1300 when idling on the trailer. That's normal. Should be 650-700 when idling in gear, while floating normally-in the water.
