at the rate your moving along, I don't think you will have to wait until fall, you will have it on the lake this spring!
i am enjoing this, your redesign is very simular to the plans i have for my tri hull forward deck and all. i will keep an eye on this project, hopefully it will ciut down on my potential mistakes. great project, good luck
That boats going to be better than new brother!
We will keep a cold beer ready for ya in the Starcraft club!
You LOVE grinding?? You need to go see a psychiatrist. You ARE sick!!!! What are you using to grind with?
How important is it that the boat is level to the ground when building the decks?
........ I love grinding!
Great idea Wood! I'll be trying that this week I think.
That's going to be one slick custom boat when you're done. It's always nice when you find one that's been looked after so you don't have to go right down to the bare hull![]()
Again, I'm learning on the job, but the advice is free so you get what you pay for.... If your original deck was level (I seem to recall there may have been an issue there), you could keep a bit of the lip where ur prior deck was tabbed into the transom and use that as a reference point. Pm me or ring me if you want to talk through it.
As to the love of grinding, you ain't right bro!
When I built my cradle on top of the flipped hull, I allowed the "bunks" to fall where they were and leveled the legs/casters, when it sits in the cradle it sits at its natural shape, Built the new deck to match existing lines, so by all rights it should be good, or we hope so anyways lol
WOW! You are moving right along there, and I know what you mean about having to stay motivated. I tried that attachment for my grinder as Wood indicated, and it worked ok. The problem what I found was that the filter got clogged easy. Now there is a thing you can get for your shop vac that I think is called a dust buster. It traps the dust before it gets to the filter.
