Chapter 8:
Woo hoo! Today we pulled the motor!
What a beautiful day to work outside! My son and I woke up this morning and started a fresh pot of coffee and ate breakfast. We were expecting my mother and step-father show up at 10AM with a cherry picker and all the tools we would need to pull the motor. After visiting a bit, we started pulling pieces and parts off the motor. That's when my son figured out we'd be dragging the skeg since the lower unit was down, and I've since removed the dash and controls! LU removed:

And then things went pretty smooth. I wont bore you with pics or removing little things, but the engine removal was successful. On to the rebuild!


And look, it has a sad face:
