Re: 1980 Sea Nymph SS 165 Rebuild
OK, as promised, update. It seems these two jobs should have been done long ago but today was the day.
FINALLY got the transom caps on! You can see I went with the "brushed" look rather than going polished. I went back and made the bow cap brushed as well, I just like em that way I guess. Coat of Shark Hide on em too...
FINALLY got the engine cover painted up proper! Flat black on the gasket Rustoleum Pro white for the cover. Now as you know I have struggled with those decals having the darker Evinrude white background. Check these out...
No background! Not a sticker so no color matching necessary!
These are decals made by David Shabestari and you can find him here...

He handled all the decals on this SN as well as my Jet Star. He is super awesome to work with, lightning fast, very flexible, a great communicator and his prices are the best in the biz, seriously! Thanks again Dave!
You can see up there I omitted that "swoosh" but decided to add the "V4". I really like the way these turned out! The Evinrude on the front side is a little off kilter, I moved my shoulder just as I was lining it up, it stuck and that was that. Rats. Bah, it's on so that is that.
I know this engine is pre BRP but since I installed a BRP water pump I figured it was legal to add a pair of these...
