I say no swoosh, keep it clean and simple. The swoosh also looks like it has the off white color. You can fret it over the winter if you really need it.

Caps and stickers look great.

#2 for me. It just looks faster. Take a deep breath, turn off any fans and skip the coffee when you do it. If the small decal went crooked, the long wrap around swoosh is gonna be a bugger. I do have faith in your ability. Sorta. :p Just funnin'.

EDIT - Jas, are you going to post in the new battery thread? The TRUTH about BATTERIES!

Re: 1980 Sea Nymph SS 165 Rebuild

OK so I'm hearing #1, #2 and keep it the way it is, no swoosh. Well, that's about how my mind is divided up too:facepalm:

64 - the swoosh is just red, no off white on there so that part is easy.

GA - Yah I saw that thread. Not much talk of batt placement on that so otta my league. Besides if I start talking about batt locations I just break out into hives anyway:rolleyes:

Mag - Yah something like that would have really helped. See, when I nudged the wrong way, and it stuck, those little teeny tiny shadow pieces were not about to get peeled up and moved again. I wasn't even going to try it, so, I pushed it on and committed.

--------------------------

Well, we churched and lunched and everybody bailed on boat riden and tube pullen. I may just go for a ride by myself later eh:) I can whoop it up all on my own:D (so long as my life supervisor lets me:rolleyes:)

Jason, my vinyl guy sent instructions with the decals od the Naked Lady, 3 or 4 drops of dish washing liquid soap in a small spray bottle of water. Spray the area where the decal goes, place the decal on the spot gently postion exactly where you want it and squegee out the liquid. I used a plastic bondo spreader, worked great. After all the water is out go over with a microfiber towel to dry and ensure proper adhesion.

I also like option 2. If you go with option 1 - I agree with the above to stop it and not wrap around to the back.

I think having the swoosh makes it look a little more like factory without tricking it out too much and ruining your no frills, all-business feng shui...

But, what do I know, I voted against the starboard side tuba horn, and now it's growing on me... So, yeah, I'm sure it will look great whatever you decide.

Re: 1980 Sea Nymph SS 165 Rebuild

So last night I hauled the boat up to Wixom lake it's only 30 minutes from my place but I hadn't been there in years. Used to be pretty good smallmouth bass fishing, prolly still is, we'll find out in due time.

Etan was my first mate...

He got a quick shot as captain, saw a cool rainbow off in the distance...

(yah, he's on my lap)

We had a great float...

Had to stop for some ice cream action on the way back home. Ethan made a friend there...

"Jas, do you always have to stop for ice cream when you boating?"

I knew you couldn't resist using the swoop. :p

Did you let the 1st mate take her up to warp speed?

Yah man, this Sea Nymph is wrapping up quite nicely! I have a really nice piece that should be ready for install on the marrow;)

Yah, fighting the temptation to be my normal boring/bland paid off adding that swoosh on there.

Well, we hit about 800 RPM's so what's that? Maybe 2.8mph? He loved it!:D

Re: 1980 Sea Nymph SS 165 Rebuild

OH NO - You put the swoosh on backwards. Just funnin'. It added the touch IMO. The important thing is swooshed or swoosh-less, the ice cream was good. The puddy tat said so.

In the middle pic - the starboard 3/4 bow shot, the SN just has the LOOK. Nice!
