You did a pretty good amount of work in three months! Congats on getting her running again. You did a really nice job.

I was just looking at your first posts on this boat its problems and I was remembering how you were thinking of junking it... I think you made a good choice to hang in there and do the resto work.

I know it's been a few years since anyone but me has lurked here, but I do refer back to this thread from time to time. Google migrated all pictures from pisasa to Google Photos some time ago, and none of the picture links work. They all migrated here:

They're more or less in order, so anyone reading can still follow along, more or less.

I'm getting ready to pass on ownership of this vessel. Between starting my own business and a growing family, I don't have time for boating right now (sad face). The good news is, in a year or two, I'll be able to get back into it. The better news is, due to the nature of my business (construction equipment repair), I find myself having to drive back and forth to Seattle at least once a year. One of these trips back, I'll have a new project boat coming home with me. I'm thinking of a 26' cabin... Blue side up everyone. Hop to see you on the water soon!

I'm about to start the same process on an '84 Seaswirl Sierra (I know, I know), which, from the looks of it, is nearly identical to the Tempo.

I picked mine one up for basically free knowing in advance it needed (at least) a floor, but I'm betting on both floor and transom.
Good to hear they used hollow stringers, that may at least save me some headache if they did the same back in '84.

Mine will be a first-to-me boat, and first I/O (after using my dad's O/B decades ago). Still enthusiastically looking forward to putting some work into it.
