Bonair, i dunno where he'd find roads where he'd be throwing rocks big enough to dent it through the cover. maybe the Vizcaino Peninsula in Baja?

Glen, love the idea for a nice boat like yours. does your spouse ever tell you you're obsessive? ;)

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought dozer said that he travels for miles on a dirt/rock road to get to the water.

In Sk you will find gravel roads leading to a lot of lakes. Easy to destroy a hull in one trip travelling at a decent clip.

Looks sharp Glen!! Dang, I've never seen a Bra on a boat before. I had one on an 87 dodge daytona...for a brief period of time  Is this your design/invention? You may want to file a disclosure!

Thanks BF 16, not my idea but my design. I saw one on line and ordered one. The add said it would fit 16 to 24' boats, ya right looked like a band aid on an a elephants butt. So I took the idea and designed my own. I bet you don't even have any
gravel road where you live!!

When boating, always wear protection :p

That's funny.

Nice lookin over the shoulder boulder holder..... on a boat.. :mullet:

I quess it would be an SS cup on a boat this size.

Hey DII - didn't you use "stone boards" on the Naked Lady trailer? I'm thinkin' this is a better idea.

That's correct GA, and yes I think it will work better.

Really good idea Glen looks great as well.

Thanks John

I agree. The bra may lessen the damage from a rock strike....but I'm guessing that it won't prevent damage altogether.

I don't travel very fast on the gravel so it should stop all the damage to the boat, but my poor trailer!!

Thanks Bruce, maybe!! she got quite a chuckle out of your comment reading over my shoulder.

Lots of gravel here.

Ain't that the truth Dave, we watch these yahoos going down the gravel road across the creek from us at 100k an hr, no protection on the bow of the boat, it sounds like a machine gun going with the rocks on the hull.

Hey! Did you do any type of mechanical fastening of your flooring around the perimeter?

Hey DJ, I ran the vinyl up the sides of the hull high enough so the side panels would hold them fast. around the engine opening / bilge I used an aluminum c channel from home depot to secure the edges.

That is one give mansier or bro! Yikes! But looks great. For a minute I thought maybe you were mocking up a form to use to create a carbon fiber "mansier".... but then I realized what section of the site I was in... no ichy scratchy stuff here and by no means would that qualify for anything close "bottom feeder"! :)

Looking forward to your splash!

Some long mud flaps on the rear of the tow vehicle....will safeguard the boat and trailer quite a bit also. But I'm guessing that dozer has already thought of this.

I hope tomorrow is better than today the wind has come up to about 40mph in the last two hours.

Hoping for calmer conditions for ya, Dozer. Extreme boating isn't the best kind of maiden cruise.

Glen, wrong phrasing. i think it's pronounced, "i'm free from the curse of this electronic taskmaster and intrusion on my space when i'm up at the lake."
