Went to install the windshield i picked up for it, but when it sat on the consoles it seemed really low! I wanted to raise it up, much like you see on alumacrafts. Here is what I came up with. Its not the prettiest thing, but it was cheap and raised it 4.5" so my melon isnt above the glass now!
4.5"x4.5" aluminum square tube, with shear blocks rivoted top and bottom, plus a nice lathering of DOW cws on the inside to help "hold things together":D

Ill try to get some better pics of it up.

Lost A LOT of time yesterday just looking for my pop rivot gun:facepalm:wasnt too super happy about that, but oh well! Cut metal to fit under the gunwale in the bow area

then stuffed the void full of pool noodles:D. Now I have a place to run some of my port side wiring!
Also mounted the bird gimble and drilled out access holes for wiring. Im liking it!

Those steel pieces were bent up and powder coated to be braces for my seats. I couldnt see dropping $400 bucks a piece for smooth moves plus buying seats on top of that, so I made my own. I bought the $99 tractor supply spring tension universal tractor seats and mounted them to the steel braces. Then mounted new seats from cabelas to the universal frame.

Mostly just cosmetic stuff from here on out except...............Ive been having fits with my outboard since late june! changed a water pump ( which is a decent undertaking on this motor ) do this, do that. Think Im all set and bam! No! Had a bad battery cable which got really hot and melted the terminal on the battery post:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm: Replaced that, fresh battery and............now no spark:mad: Turns over fine, but no sparkage! This is driving me nuts, especially since I had told my boys we would be fishing weeks ago with the "new" boat! Sorry for the rambling, but I had to vent!
