I have a 6hp Seahorse, Mod# 6RL76A. I am getting mad at this motor, too simple not to work! Here is a list of what I've done...Set points at .020 3 times, Have GREAT HOT spark w/ new plugs, Checked exhaust passages for insects/blockage w/ none found, cleaned/blew out carb 3 times, no intake gasket leak, set float level with carb edge on 3rd time. Idle needle undamaged turned out 1.5 turns from bottom, compression ck both cyls same/cold/3 times w/ choke and throttle open
ull #1=30, pull #2=45, pull#3=63psi. With clear fuel line I can verify there is fuel available in bowl and up to pump. No case leak @ pump gasket either. Now, It will start with a shot of WD-40 and Either. when the either runs out it dies even with choke closed. It will not run, start or stay running @ idle/mid or full throttle. This tells me its not the idle circuit alone or the main circuit since throttle position doesn't matter. After all the pulling when it dies I ck plugs and they are clean and dry so it's not flooding OR getting fuel. My shoulder is sore from pulling and I'm out of ideas!
